Excessive Sweating Treatment

Excessive sweating treatment is hard to come by. The medical community hasn’t really come up with any good solutions to the problem. They all involve surgery and never really address why the excessive sweating is actually occuring. In the United States alone, an estimated 2% of people suffer from this problem. That’s a lot of people to have a problem where the isn’t much of a solution available. I’ve done some research to help solve my own problem with this and I’m going to share with you what I’ve found out.

A new and very popular method of excessive sweating treatment is iontophoresis. That’s just a big word for putting electrical current through the sweat glands to cause them to close up. The same technology is used in body hair removal. When you put a current through a sweat gland, it will close up for around a week to repair itself. This solution doesn’t offer anything long term and doesn’t really address “why” the excessive sweating is happening in the first place.

Another method that is pretty new to the excessive sweating field is botox. This is the method used by plastic surgeons to remove wrinkles in the face. Basically you inject it under the skin and it kills the sweat glands. It is a method that will stop the sweating, though I think it is wrong. Sweating is natural, the problem we face is that it is excessive.

All these methods of excessive sweating treatment don’t really address the main issue of why it is happening. We don’t want to eliminate sweating all together, but to make it healthy. There are natural ways of doing this. I learned that the food I was eating actually enabled me body to get hotter, by simply eliminating them, I was able to stop my excessive sweating.
