When you meet someone new there is always the risk of nerves getting in the way but if you have hyperhidrosis then that can be a huge problem. Hyperhidrosis is the medical term that is used to describe excess sweating and about 1% of the population suffers from this problem. Hyperhidrosis is a problem because of the sympathetic nerve and when you get nervous it can highly over-react making meeting someone new a mentally and psychologically painful ordeal. Fortunately there are a few ways you can try to cure excessive sweating.
There are actually a few ways to cure excessive sweating such as medications, botox, surgery and even a few natural ones which is the best way that there is. The medications that are used to cure excessive sweating have been known to do the trick and make the symptoms of hyperhidrosis less obvious. Like any kind of prescribed medication though there are drawbacks.
Side effects are usually the kicker and these medications have their own that they can tout. Excessive sweating isn’t fun but neither is dry mouth, constipation or blurred vision and these are just a few of the side effects that are listed on the medications used to cure excessive sweating. That would totally take the fun out of being cured of my hyperhidrosis!
Botox is another solution to cure excessive sweating but there have been recent findings that say that Botox can actually do some real harm to your body. The medicine that is inside the Botox is harmful to you and if you watch the news or read any type of magazine I’m sure that you have read the horror stories of Botox. Many people have used it without any problems and if you like Botox then you might decide to use it to cure excessive sweating for yourself. The treatments have to be repeated generally every 3-4 months but can least up to a year.
If the excess sweating that you have is mainly in your armpit area then you might be able to do something as simple as buy some very strong antiperspirant. If you do use an antiperspirant to cure excess sweating then make sure that you have one that has aluminum chloride as the main ingredient as that will make the sweating almost cease.
As I said, there are surgeries that you can use to cure excessive sweating but if there is a way to fix something without involving anesthesia and a scalpel then that’s generally what I try to do. The surgery that is available to cure excessive sweating is called ETS (endoscopic thoracic sympathectomy) and has a few different methods that you can use.
If you want something that is easily reversed then there is a method to cure excessive sweating to where they will place a clamp on sections of your sympathetic nerve. This is nice because of the fact that you will be able to reverse this surgery very easily if you decide that you are uncomforable with it. The other surgeries that are available with ETS aren’t as easily reversed and so the surgery might be something you have to live with forever.
The best way to cure excessive sweating in my book would be acupunture. Acupunture is the oldest form of healing that is known as it has been used by the chinese for over 2,000 years. This is a way to cure excessive sweating without side effects or permanent scars and is totally natural. You will use your body to help it heal itself. Acupunture has been known to cause deep relaxation as well which can help your mind as well as to relieve the symptoms of hyperhidrosis.
